Nike has an epic history of collaborations, with the likes of Kanye West, BAPE and now also the jewelry company Tiffany & Co. The collaboration brings together two giant brands, leaders in their respective industries, in a collaboration that contains each brand's signature.

What does the collection offer?

What do the goods cost?

What makes them so special?

Let's dive into the new Tiffany x Nike collection.

The Fusion of Sport and Luxury: Nike Tiffany & Co. Collaboration

What is Tiffany & Co.?

You know Nike — that's clear — but do you know who Tiffany & Co is?

Tiffany & Co is one of America's oldest jewelry brands, specializing in silver and silverware, among other things.

Over the years, Tiffany has been seen in countless collaborations with popular brands, and now also Nike.

One of the signatures and hallmarks of the Tiffany brand is the blue color, also popularly known as Tiffany Blue.

Nike Tiffany Co collection

At the end of January 2023, Nike and Tiffany announced their collaboration.

A collaboration that goes in a lot of different directions. On the one hand, they release exclusive shoes (and wow, some bangers), and on the other hand, they have created some crazy collector's items that you can buy individually.

Let's jump into the products.

Nike Air Force 1837

So I mean…

Just look at that model here, an all black Air Force 1 with a Tiffany Blue swoosh.

As I see it, this collaboration could have gone two ways.

- A super daring model that pushes boundaries

- A classic model with ultra-delicate details.

We came in second, and I'm really happy with the result.

This Air Force is a model that screams luxury and exclusivity. The model consists of suede with a silver detail on the back, instead of the laces that the Air Force 1 is otherwise known for.

And that's exactly what the price screams — luxury.

The model costs 400 USD (approx. 2800 DKK), and is of course limited (1837 pairs, to be exact), along with the silver objects that come with the collection.

The name of the shoe — 1837 — comes from the year the Tiffany brand was created by Charles Lewis Tiffany.

Tiffany X Nike silverware

In addition to the extremely cool Tiffany Air Force, the collection follows up with collectibles in silver.

The collection includes Nike Air Force shoelace tags, a shoe horn, a sneaker cleaning brush, and a whistle with chain. All with both Nike and Tiffany branding — and of course in high-quality silver.

These are probably some of the most interesting collectibles I've seen from a collaboration like this.

The price of the Nike Tiffany collectibles varies from 250-475 USD (approx. 1700kr - 3300kr).

The prices are a huge statement, and clearly state that the objects are for collecting, not for use.

Imagine making a silver brush worth 2000 kr worn and dirty on purpose?

Ouch.

Nike Air Force Tiffany 1837 Reverse

Yes, two pairs of Air Force have been made, but unfortunately Nike disappoints here.

This model is not coming to market.

Stop it, it's so annoying.

This model is a sort of reverse model of the original 1837. Tiffany blue leather details and sole with a black swoosh and white mid-sole.

If this had hit the market, it would have been snatched away.

The shoe was probably made for friends, families and VIPs.

The crowning glory - a silver shoebox

To top it all off, Tiffany & CO made a single shoebox out of pure silver at their factory.

Mind-blowing.

It took 155 working hours to make the box and it weighs approximately 10.5kg.

The price is unknown. It was not public. Only people who were brave enough to ask the right people about the price could find out.

The silver liquid was purchased directly after release, by a presumably very wealthy sneaker lover.

Rounding

When Nike and Tiffany teased the collection, they dubbed it “legendday,” and honestly, I have to agree with them.

The collaboration oozes finesse, class and taste. Nothing is overdone — just a combination of 2 legendary brands.

What do you think?

Did you get one of the 1837 pairs that were released?
